| I am an engineer in a wind turbine design office (2B ENERGY, in the Netherlands) and I am working now on a project which consists to implement a tuned mass damper (TMD) in order to prevent the tower against vibrations. I did calculations and I found some values for the TMD (stiffness, displacement, weight, global shape).
I am now looking for materials which would be able to make the mass moving and to absorb the energy in the same time.
I thought to lead rubber bearings solutions because it can move in all directions (for the cylindrical shape), we could fix a side into the wind turbine and the other side to the mass.
So, maybe I could give you some values and then, see if the solution is realistic or not?
Moreover, do you have documentation of rubber bearings available to send me?
 Thank you in advance,
 Yours faithfully,
